Premier League: £2.398bn paid to the 20 clubs (+46.3%), from £150m (Chelsea) to £107m (Sunderland)

The Premier League redistributed £2,398.5m (€2,753.42m on 02/06/2017) of audiovisual and commercial revenues to the 20 clubs that participated in the 2016-17 season, announced the English top professional league on 01/06/2017. This amount increased by 46.3% compared to 2015-16 (£1,638.8m, or about €2,116.2m on 23/05/2016). The average amount paid to a Premier League club is £119.9m, or nearly €137.6m.

Chelsea FC, the 2016-17 Premier League champions, also top the ranking of redistributed revenue, with £150.8m (€173.1m). Manchester City (£146.9m, €168.6m), third in the Premier League table, and Liverpool FC (£146.1m, €167.7m) fourth, both received more than Tottenham Hotspur FC (£145.4m, €166.9m), the runners-up to Chelsea. This is due in particular to the amount of the "facilities fees" which takes into account the number of live games broadcast on the Sky Sports and BT Sport channels (28 games for Manchester City, 29 for Liverpool, and 25 for Tottenham Hotspur).
