FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) has announced the 27 countries that will benefit from the Goal programme, on the 04/09/2013. Seven federations, members of the AFC (Asian Football Confederation), ten of the CAF (Confederation of African Football), four of the CONMEBOL (South American Football Confederation), three of CONCACAF (Confederation of North America, Central America and Caribbean) and three of UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) will implement projects to develop football in their countries. For each project, 500,000 dollars will be invested by FIFA.

The Goal Programme, established in 1999, is a solidarity aid giving federations with the least resources the means to function and develop. The funding granted by FIFA relates exclusively to projects in the areas of administration, training, youth football, infrastructure and other development projects adapted to the specific needs of federations.

  • Since 1999, FIFA has invested about $260m (€197m) in the Goal programme.
  • For the first time, a Goal programme is implemented in Indonesia.
