Twitter: 16.25 million followers in total for the 20 Serie A TIM clubs (June 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 Serie A TIM season have a cumulative 16.25 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/06/2017. The Serie A TIM ranks third in the European Top 5 leagues, behind LaLiga Santander and the Premier League, with 812,539 followers on average per club.

AC Milan is the most followed Italian club with 4.76 million followers, an increase of 90,615 (+1.9%) compared to the beginning of May 2017. Juventus are the club that recorded the highest increase in followers (+114,032).

Juventus narrowed the gap with AC Milan to less than half a million followers, the Italian league is where the gap between the two most followed clubs is the lowest.

At 14% (13,502 to 15,390), FC Crotone are the Serie A TIM (and Top 5 league) club which registered the highest percentage growth on Twitter in May 2017. However, its is also the least followed Serie A TIM club on Twitter.
