Tennis: Nitto Denko Corporation (JPN, chemicals) to become title sponsor of the ATP Finals in London

Nitto Denko Corporation, a Japanese manufacturer of chemical products (tyres, adhesives, etc.) and new technologies, has acquired the naming rights to the ATP Finals until 2020, announced ATP on 25/05/2017. The end of season tournament of the ATP World Tour will be named the "Nitto ATP Finals" from the 2017 edition onwards (from 12 to 19/11/2017, at the O2 Arena in London, England).

The contract covers the four editions from 2017 to 2020. "Featuring the world’s top men’s professional tennis players, the ATP Finals fits very well with Nitto’s philosophy, where we challenge ourselves to gain top share by utilising our unique technology both locally and on a global level. As title sponsor, we hope to accelerate our global brand promotion this year, and for our 100th anniversary in 2018, and beyond," explained Hideo Takasaki, the president, CEO, and COO of Nitto Denko, on 25/05/2017.

Nitto will succeed the British bank Barclays, the naming rights holder to the ATP Finals for the 2009-2016 period, for an annual estimated amount between £3.5m to £4m by the British media (between €4m to…
