Premier League: 50,000+ tickets for the 2017 Premier League Asia Trophy were sold out in 24 hours

More than 50,000 tickets issued to the general public for the 2017 Premier League Asia Trophy at the Hong Kong Stadium (40,000 capacity), on 19 and 22 July, were sold out in just over 24 hours, announced the Premier League on 03/06/2017. Tickets were available from 300 Hong Kong dollars (€34.23) for adults. Special rates from HKD180 (€20.50) were reserved for students and the elderly.

Liverpool FC, Leicester City FC, West Bromwich Albion FC, and Crystal Palace FC will compete for the 2017 Premier League Asia Trophy. This is the fourth time that this pre-season tournament, organised every odd year since 2003, will be held in Hong Kong.

"The incredible demand for tickets reinforces the tremendous interest in the Premier League in Hong Kong and vindicates the decision to host four teams playing both match days here," said Mark Sutcliffe, the CEO of the Hong Kong Football Association, on 03/06/2017.
