Facebook: 47.19 million fans in total for the 20 Ligue 1 clubs (June 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2016-17 Ligue 1 season have a cumulative total of 47.19 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to the data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/06/2017. Ligue 1 is the least followed European Top 5 league on Facebook, with an average of 2.35 million fans per club.

Paris Saint-Germain remain the French club with the most Facebook fans (28.92 million), an increase of 552,095 compared to the beginning of May 2017. The Parisian club gained 3,473,920 new fans across the 2016-17 season (since August 2016), more than the other 19 Ligue 1 clubs combined (+1,962,517 fans). Paris Saint-Germain alone comprises 61% of all the Facebook fans of Ligue 1 clubs: no other club of the Top 5 leagues dominates its domestic market on Facebook in this manner.

At 4.4% (from 4,246,280 to 4,601,158), AS Monaco are the Ligue 1 club which posted the best percentage growth on Facebook in May 2017 for the second month in a row.
