Carabao Cup: first-round draw of the English League Cup to be held in Thailand on 16/06/2017

The draw for the first round of the 2017-18 Carabao Cup will be held in Bangkok (Thailand) on Friday, 16/06/2017, at 18:00 local time (14:00 CET), announced the EFL on 12/06/2017. Carabao, a Thai energy drink brand, became the title partner to the EFL Cup for three seasons (2017-2020) and an official partner to the EFL on 04/11/2016.

World Cup winner Emmanuel Petit, Carabao CEO Sathien Setthasit, British ambassador to Thailand Brian Davidson, and EFL CEO manager Shaun Harvey will draw the 35 round one ties at the Carabao head-quarters. Fans can follow the draw live on iFollow, the new broadcast platform of the English League, as well as on Facebook on the Carabao Cup, Carabao UK, and SkySports.com pages.

70 clubs, including 22 Championship teams (Middlesbrough FC and Hull City AFC have already qualified for the second round), 24 League One teams, and 24 League Two teams, will be in the draw with the first round to be played on 08 and 09/08/2017.
