Grenoble, Le Havre, Lyon, Montpellier, Nice, Paris (Parc des Princes), Reims, Rennes, and Valenciennes have been selected by the FFF executive committee, after consultation with FIFA, to be the nine host cities of the 2019 Women's World Cup, announced the French Football Federation on 14/06/2017. From the initial 11 candidate cities, Auxerre and Nancy were the only two not to have been selected.

The 2019 Women's World Cup, scheduled from Friday 07/06 to Sunday 07/07/2019, will bring together 24 countries for a total of 52 matches. Park OL will host several matches, including the opening match and the Final. France was designated to host this competition by a unanimous vote by the FIFA executive committee on 19/03/2015: France and South Korea were the two candidate countries, after the withdrawal of South Africa, England, and New Zealand.

"It wasn’t an easy choice, as all of the dossiers presented by the candidate cities were of a high quality. We are proud to be organising the eighth FIFA Women’s World Cup," said Noël Le Graet, president of FFF, on 14/09/2017.
