The Red Bull Racing Formula One team organised a caravan race between its two Formula 1 drivers, Daniel Ricciardo (AUS) and Max Verstappen (NED), on the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, where the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix will take place, on 30/05/2017. Austrian energy drink company Red Bull has owned the Spielberg circuit since 2005, the same year the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team was launched.

The two drivers, on Aston Martin Vanquish by the British carmaker Aston Martin (an "innovation partner"), challenged each other by towing a caravan in the colours of the Red Bull Racing team. The race allowed Red Bull to record a video (see below) to promote the 2017 Formula One Austrian Grand Prix, which will take place from Friday, 07/07/2017, to Sunday, 09/07/2017.

  • The Austrian Grand Prix on the Red Bull Ring returned to the Formula 1 World Championship calendar in 2014, 11 years after the previous race, which Michael Schumacher (GER/Scuderia Ferrari) won at the "A1 Ring" in 2003.
