Olympique Lyonnais: Jean-Michel Aulas, 30-year anniversary of being president of the club

"Being in a club as prestigious and emotional as Olympique Lyonnais for 30 years has been magnificent, and it has been a great experience to learn everything about national, european, and world football through an institution like OL. I have experienced more moments of satisfaction than hard times, which is rare in the football world," said Jean-Michel Aulas, president of Olympique Lyonnais since 15/06/1987, celebrating 30 years of service yesterday, 15/06/2017.

"My main idea when I arrived was to make OL one of the most recongnised clubs in both international and european level. I had an extremely innovative, imaginative, and emotional state of mind. There were a series of circumstances that made me join OL, and today I am very pleased. It was a big leap for me. I did not know much about the management of a professional football club, but I was very passionate," said Jean-Michel Aulas on the club website.
