eSport: Intel (technologies) extends agreement with ESL and becomes global technical partner

Intel Corporation, an IT and technology company, has extended its partnership with the Electronic Sports League (ESL) and has become an exclusive global technical partner, the US group announced at the E3 video game show in Los Angeles (United States), on 12/06/2017.

"The partnership extends from global events such as Intel Extreme Masters, ESL Pro League, and ESL One to National Championships and online tournament platforms, as well as studio and broadcasting operations," said ESL. Intel will also provide computers for the ESL participants and has also revealed a new event named Intel Grand Slam, an event that rewards the first eSport team to win four of the last 10 major competitions hosted by ESL and DreamHack with an extra $1m.

"This year's Intel Extreme Masters final was the most watched eSports tournament in ESL history and this partnership extension will further enhance the viewers experience.
