2.Bundesliga: Rewe extends contract as shirt sponsor of Cologne until 2014/15

German group of supermarkets and hypermarkets Rewe, has extended its partnership as main sponsor for FC Cologne (2.Bundesliga, the German second division) for two seasons, the club announced on the 09/09/2013. Both parties are bound until the end of the 2014/15 season.

The Cologne-based company has paid €3.3m per year since the 2011/12 season for the central area of the shirt. The new agreement could be lower: the initial contract was signed when the club was playing in Bundesliga (relegated in 2012).

FC Cologne have also become partner of online betting operator Betsafe for the 2013/14 season. The Swedish company will pay € 250,000 to the club to be present on its communications media and to get exposure at RheinEnergie Stadion (50,000 seats) through the LED screens.
