Naming of Parc OL: OL Group confirms that discussions are underway with Groupama

"Following press rumours, OL Group can confirm that discussions are underway with Groupama, as with other companies, about the possibility of a naming right contract to Parc OL," said the holding company of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Conforama) on 20/06/2017.

Several press articles published on 20/06/2017 stated that the domain name "groupama-stadium.fr" had been considered by Olympique Lyonnais SASP on 16/06/2017. Groupama already has naming partnerships with OL (see below). Francis Thomine, CEO of Groupama Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, revealed discussions with the club about the naming rights of Parc OL (59,186 capacity) on 28/02/2017.

"OL Group has long announced its desire to finalise a naming right deal with Groupama, who is already a privileged partner of the club and has given its name to the Groupama OL Training Center, and Groupama OL Academy, and is a natural interlocutor," said the club.

"If these talks were to succeed and lead to an agreement, it would be announced at the appropriate time," added OL Group. "We are hoping to receive an annual amount of €6m for the naming rights…
