NBA: Fitbit (activity trackers) becomes jersey sponsor of Minnesota Timberwolves from 2017-2020

Fitbit, a US company specialising in portable activity trackers, has become the jersey sponsor of the Minnesota Timberwolves from the 2017-18 season, announced the NBA franchise on 20/06/2017. Fitbit also enjoys the status of official "portable technology" and "sleep tracer" partner. The contract will run until 2019-20, the third and final season of the experimental jersey sponsorship programme launched by the NBA on 15/04/2016.

As part of this partnership, Fitbit will provide its electronic statistical tracking devices to Minnesota Timberwolves players and staff to improve franchise performance. Fitbit will benefit from a number of marketing assets, including visibility of the brand logo on the left chest of the Timberwolves jersey, integration with the mobile application of the team, visibility on the panel of the Target Center (19,356 capacity) in Minneapolis, and visibility and presence of its products in the club shop.
