2.Bundesliga: SSV Jahn Regensburg to sell their own beer, distributed by their sponsor Netto

SSV Jahn Regensburg (2.Bundesliga), a club based in Regensburg, Bavaria (Germany), have launched their own beer brand: Jahn Halbe, on 16/05/2017. SSV Jahn Regensburg, who finished 3^rd in the 2016-17 3.Liga, will play in the 2.Bundesliga for the 2017-18 season after winning the promotion / relegation play-off against TSV 1860 Munich (3-1 on aggregate across the two legs on 27/05/2017 and 30/05/2017).

The beer will be brewed by Bischofshof. The brewing company has been a premium partner (2^nd level) of SSV Jahn Regensburg since 2016-17. The "Jahn Halbe" was created jointly by Leonhard Resch, the braumeister of Bischofshof, and Andi Geipl, a player of the Bavarian club. The idea of creating this beer had germinated during an evening dedicated to the partners of the club, in the presence of the players, organised at the Bischofshof premises.

The "Jahn Halbe" will be marketed from 10/07/2017, and will be distributed only in Netto supermarkets in the Regensburg region. Netto is the shirt sponsor and main sponsor of SSV Jahn Regensburg.
