Premier League: Tanzanian National Tourism Board to partner with Sunderland in 2013/14

Tanzanian National Tourism Board has partnered with Sunderland (Premier League) in 2013/14, the club announced on the 12/09/2013. Tanzania brand will be present on the communication media of the club as well as on the Stadium of Light (49,000 seats).

The club has already established close ties with Tanzania, providing technical and practical support for the development of a football academy project, the first of its kind in this African country, on the 16/06/2013. Sunderland continue their strategy towards the African market, after a shirt sponsorship agreement binding the club to the South African financial services company Bidvest and a charitable partnership with the Nelson Mandela Foundation, on the 28/02/2013.

"We are very much looking forward to working with the people of Tanzania to promote their beautiful country to a wider audience and to also support the development of its football infrastructure" said Margaret Byrne, the club's chief executive.
