IOC: Intel (IT and electronics) becomes "TOP" worldwide partner (1st level) until 2024

Intel Corporation, a US company specialising in IT and electronics, has become a "TOP" worldwide partner to the IOC (1st level) until 2024, announced the International Olympic Committee on 21/06/2017. The seven-year partnership has been valued at $400m ($357.3m on 26/06/2017) by US specialised media.

"Intel and the IOC are partnering to bring Intel’s leading technology to enhance the Olympic Games through to 2024. Intel will focus primarily on infusing its 5G platforms, VR, 3D, and 360 content development platforms, artificial intelligence platforms and drones, along with other silicon solutions to enhance the Olympic Games. Intel will work across the Olympic Movement and with other Olympic partners to integrate technology into many facets of the Olympic Games," said the IOC.
