2018-2021 Champions League: 34 matches and multiplex for Sky, and 104 for Perform, in Germany

The German pay-TV group Sky Deutschland will broadcast 34 Champions League matches per season and the multiplex broadcast for the 2018-2021 cycle in Germany, according to German media on 19/06/2017. Sky Deutschland has acquired the broadcast rights valid across all broadcasting platforms to the UEFA Champions League, in Germany and Austria, for the 2018-2021 period, on 13/06/2017.

Perform, the British group specialising in the production and distribution of sports content on digital platforms, which has acquired a sub-license from Sky, will broadcast 104 matches per season on its OTT platform DAZN. Perform and Sky Deutschland will pay €600m for the TV rights for the 2018-2021 cycle for the Champions League in Germany, according to the US economic website Bloomberg (+66.7%) on 19/05/2017.

During the group stage, Sky will benefit from the first choice of broadcast for each Wednesday evening and for three out of the six Tuesday evening matches.
