Newcastle United FC (Premier League) have opened three official accounts on the Chinese social networks Weibo, WeChat, and Dongqiudi, announced the club on 19/06/2017. These launches are part of the club's 125th anniversary celebrations.

Chinese fans will be able to discover a variety of tailor-made content, including the best images, videos, and digital content of the Magpies by joining the club's digital community in Asia. Newcastle United are already present on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube, with a combined following of more than 3.5 million people, according to the club.

"With a number of existing fan groups in China and a growing presence in the region, both as a Premier League club and now as a partner of FUN88, this is a natural step for us and we look forward to connecting with even more fans and sharing our experiences with them," said Lee Charnley, CEO of Newcastle United, on 19/06/2017.
