Serbia: Italian sports brand Macron becomes the kit supplier to Red Star Belgrade until 2021-22

The Italian sports equipment brand Macron has become the kit supplier to Red Star Belgrade (Jelen Super Liga, Serbia) for five seasons (2017-2022), announced the club on 26/06/2017. This partnership, in the second level of the club's sponsorship hierarchy, will see Macron succeed the German sports equipment brand Puma (2013-2017) as the kit supplier to the Serbian club.

"In addition to the sportswear and equipment, the contract with Macron provides for bonuses for the sports success achieved," said Svetozar Mijailovic, president of Red Star Belgrade. The deal is estimated to be €450,000 per season by the Serbian media.

"Macron as a company is very proud to be a partner of Red Star and to be in the Serbian market. We wanted to sponsor a club in Serbia in order to fully enter the market and we selected Red Star, the biggest club in Serbia. We are focused only on Red Star and we have no plans to sponsor another club in the region," said Francesco Martinelli, sports marketing manager at Macron.
