FIFA: the World Football Museum in Zurich presents its first cultural programme (Summer 2017)

Podium discussions, conferences, film screenings, and special exhibitions will be featured in the first cultural programme of the FIFA World Football Museum in Zurich (SUI), said the international federation on 27/06/2017.

"The museum will host more than 50 different cultural events, with 'the six continents of football' to be their common theme," said FIFA.

The FIFA World Football Museum, inaugurated on 28/02/2016, has a surface area of 3,500m² and is home to 1,000 objects, 1,400 photos, 500 videos, 60 screens, and 15 interactive stations. There is also a 180° cinema, a sports-themed bar, a bistro, a café-bar, and a library.

Since its opening, the museum has received an average of 11,000 visitors per month, while FIFA has expected more than 20,000 visitors. "Following a report presented to the FIFA Council at its meeting in Bahrain in the beginning of May, continued support has been expressed for the FIFA World Football Museum from the strategic and oversight body of FIFA," announced the International governing body on 30/05/2017.
