Serie A TIM: Della Valle family, owner of Fiorentina, ready to sell due to "fans' dissatisfaction"

The Della Valle family, a dynasty of Italian industry which notably includes the Tod's shoe brand, is ready to sell ACF Fiorentina (Serie A TIM) in the face of the "fans' dissatisfaction", and will make the club available to all those wish to buy it, and "who will be able to manage it as they wish", announced Fiorentina on 26/06/2017. The Della Valle family took over the Florence (ITA) club in 2002 after the bankruptcy of the club.

The club played in the Italian fourth Italian division in 2002-03, winning promotion to the third division. However, due to the "Caso Catania" affair, the FIGC exceptionally moved Fiorentina directly to the second division Serie B for the 2003-04 season, in which the club again earned promotion. Thus, ACF Fiorentina returned to the Serie A from the fourth division in two seasons under the direction of the Della Valle family. ACF Fiorentina finished 8^th in the 2016-17 Serie A TIM table with 60 points (16 wins, 12 draws, 10 defeats), 3 points less than AC Milan, which qualified for the third qualifying round of the 2017-18 Europa League.
