Chile - Germany (0-1), the final of the 2017 Confederations Cup, drew 14.69 million viewers on average during the match on the German public TV channel ZDF on Sunday, 02/07/2017 (kick-off at 20:00 CET).

This represented an audience share of 42.7%, and allowed ZDF to rank first in the German TV market for the day of 02/07/2017.

This is the best figure in Germany for a 2017 Confederations Cup match, ranking ahead of the semi-final match Germany - Mexico (4-1), which drew 11.37 million viewers on average on the German public TV channel ARD on Thursday, 29/06/2017 (kick-off at 20:00 CET). Audience share: 37%.

The mark for the final also beats the record number of viewers in Germany for a Confederations Cup match, previously held by Germany - Brazil (2-3), a semi-final of the 2005 edition, which drew 12.77 million viewers on average on one of the German public TV channels.
