2017 Confederations Cup: "We had some great games and a great atmosphere" (G. Infantino, FIFA)

"This Confederations Cup has been a great success from many points of view. We had been hearing before this tournament about a lot of 'problems' we would experience here. In fact we had some great games and a great atmosphere," said Gianni Infantino, FIFA president in Saint Petersburg (RUS) on 01/07/2017, the eve of the last two matches of the competition.

Germany, the reigning world champions, won the 2017 Confederations Cup by defeating Chile, the South American champions, 1-0 at the Saint-Petersburg Stadium (RUS) on 02/07/2017.
