2016-17 Serie A TIM: a cumulative audience of 306 million Sky and Premium subscribers in Italy

At least 306.5 million TV viewers in Italy watched the 2016-17 Serie A TIM (167.32 million subscribers on Sky Italia, 104.84 million subscribers on Mediaset Premium, and an additional 34.41 million subscribers on the multiplexes of the two groups), according to the statistics of the audience measurement institutes AGB (Nielsen group) and Auditel, and published by the Lega Serie A.

Juventus recorded the best average TV audience per game, with 1,941,227 subscribers per domestic league match in 2016-17. AC Milan, Inter, Napoli, and AS Roma round out the top five with 1,451,347; 1,390,995; 1,386,536; and 1,270,083 subscribers on average per game over the 2016-17 season, respectively.

The best TV audience of the season was for Juventus - Inter (1-0), with a total of 3,740,506 subscribers (2,283,518 on Sky Calcio and 1,456,988 on Premium Sport) on Sunday, 05/02/2017 from 20:45 CET. Matchday 20 of the 2016-17 Serie A TIM recorded the best TV audience across all 10 matches of the weekend, with 9.365 million subscribers from 14 to 16/01/2017.
