LaLiga Santander: Florentino Pérez wants to open a Real Madrid "inspired" theme park in Madrid (ESP)

Florentino Pérez wants to open a Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) "inspired" theme park in Ciudad Deportiva, the club's sporting complex in Valdebebas (Madrid, ESP), announced the president of the club to the Spanish radio station esRadio on 28/06/2017.

"The theme park will be like those of Disney, but inspired by Real Madrid. It will not be easy, but we want to do something spectacular. We have the space and the best site in Madrid. During my time, I also hope to be able to finalise or advance the renovation project of the Santiago Bernabéu," said Florentino Pérez, who began a new term (2017-2021) as the head of the Madrid-based club on 19/06/2017.

This would be the second time Real Madrid has undertaken such a project, after the Real Madrid Resort Island on the island of Ras al Khaimah (United Arab Emirates) began in 2012 but was abandoned in 2013 due to lack of funding.
