Germany: ARD and ZDF acquire the broadcast rights to 12 die Mannschaft matches in the Nations League

The German public broadcasting groups ARD and ZDF have acquired the broadcast rights, in Germany, to 12 matches of the German national team in the Nations League for the 2018-2021 period, via their agency SportA, on 27/10/2017 . These rights have been acquired from CAA Eleven, the Swiss company that manages the centralised marketing of the media, sponsorship, and licensing rights to national team competitions organised by UEFA since 2012.

The Nations League is a new national team competition that will replace most friendly matches between European national teams. The principle was adopted by the UEFA Congress in Astana (Kazakhstan) on 27/03/2014: the main phase will be held between September and November 2018, with the final tournament in June 2019.

The German broadcaster RTL has acquired the rights to broadcast, in Germany, the German national team's qualifying matches for the 2018-2022 period (see below) on 30/05/2016.
