Facebook: 71.48 million fans in total for the 18 Bundesliga clubs (July 2017)

The 18 clubs in the 2017-18 Bundesliga season have a cumulative total of 71.48 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/07/2017. The Bundesliga is the fourth most popular Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League, LaLiga Santander, and Serie A TIM, with an average of 3.97 million fans per club.

FC Bayern Munich remain the most followed German club, with 42.4 million fans, an increase of 225,391 (+0.5%) since the beginning of June 2017. No other Bundesliga club drew more fans than Bayern in the past month.

At 1.5% (from 309,693 to 314,464), RB Leipzig are the Bundesliga club which posted the best percentage growth on Facebook in June 2017. During the entirety of the 2016-17 season, Leipzig recorded an 88% increase in fans to their Facebook page (the high mark of all Top 5 league clubs), benefiting in particular from the club's strong sporting results in the Bundesliga (2^nd in the final table for 2016-17).
