Major League Soccer: Tim Pernetti appointed chief business officer of New York City FC

Tim Pernetti has been named chief business officer of the MLS (Major League Soccer) franchise New York City FC, the club announced on the 09/09/2013. He will work directly with Ferran Soriano, CEO of the club, and will oversee all business operations of New York City FC.

Tim Pernetti is the second manager to join the leadership of the New York club after Claudio Reyna was named athletic director, on the 22/05/2013.

The franchise was acquired jointly by Manchester City (Premier League, ENG) and the New York Yankees (Major League Baseball, USA) for $100m (approximately €77.4m),on the 21/05/2013. This twentieth MLS club will integrate the U.S. championship in 2015.
