Facebook: Top 100 European clubs with the most fans (July 2017)

With 104.65 million fans, Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) are the most followed European club on Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football, establishing the Top 100 of the most popular European clubs on this social network as of 05/07/2017.

The Premier League is the most represented league in the Top 20 (7 clubs), followed by the Serie A TIM (4 clubs). LaLiga Santander (3 clubs) is in third position, tied with the Turkish Süper Lig, the only non Top 5 European league to be represented in the Top 20 places. The Bundesliga has two representatives in the Top 20, and Ligue 1 Conforama has one.

A quarter of the Top 100 clubs are not part of one the European Top 5 leagues (see below): the Turkish league is the most represented non Top 5 European league (5 clubs), ahead of the Russian Football Premier League (3), Liga NOS (3), and the Eredivisie (3). In addition, 12 second division clubs from the European Top 5 countries are in the Top 100 clubs with the most Facebook fans.
