Everton FC: credit line of £60m over 3 years with London subsidiary of Chinese bank ICBC

"Everton FC (Premier League) has signed a landmark finance deal with a Chinese bank. Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC, via its London subsidiary) has agreed to give the club a £60m (about €67.8m on 07/07/2017) three-year credit facility," reported the the regional daily Liverpool Echo in its edition of 05/07/2017.

"The finance deal has only just been announced but it was actually agreed on 30/06/2017 after it got Premier League approval. It’s the ICBC bank’s first deal with a Premier League side and the company says it’s proud to have chosen such an 'ambitious club' to work with," added the Liverpool Echo on 05/07/2017.

"We are pleased to have entered into a partnership with ICBC, which will increase our financial flexibility, reduce refinancing risk and lower funding costs, while adding to the list of Everton's 'firsts,'" stated Alexander Ryazantsev, director and board member of Everton FC, on 05/07/2017.
