FC Bayern Munich: makeover to the Allianz Arena during the summer break, including new giant screens

"Let there be light! That’s been the phrase on everyone’s lips at the Allianz Arena in recent days as the home of FC Bayern undergoes an update during the summer break, includes new LED floodlights, the largest video wall in Europe, and improved security," said FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) on 27/06/2017.

With this new lighting, "there will be less light from top to bottom but much more from behind," said Jürgen Muth, chairman of the Allianz Arena, and as for the two new video walls of 200m2, "we’re moving into the ultra HD era," added Muth.

Inaugurated on 31/05/2005, the Allianz Arena will be operational again for the 2017 edition of the Audi Cup (on 01 and 02/08/2017), which will see Bayern Munich host Liverpool FC (Premier League).
