Bundesliga: Oliver Leki new managing director of SC Freiburg

Oliver Leki has been appointed managing director of SC Freiburg (Bundesliga, GER), the club announced on the 16/09/2013. He takes over Detlef Romeiko, in position since April 2008, who resigned for health reasons. Oliver Leki will officially take office on the 01/10/2013. He will be responsible for finances, organisation and marketing of the club.

"We are pleased to have recruited Oliver Leki, a director who has experience in the management of a football club. He will help us in our future challenges, especially those related to the structural development of the club and the stadium issue," said Henry Broad, treasurer and board member of SC Freiburg, on the 16/09/2013.

Oliver Leki was previously general manager of FC Cologne (2.Bundesliga, the German second division).

Fifth in the Bundesliga in 2012/13, SC Freiburg played their first match in Europa League (Group H) on the 19/09/2013, at home against Slovan Liberec (CZE).
