Everton: fans invited to vote for the next club logo

Everton (Premier League, ENG) will involve their fans in choosing the next club logo from the 23/09/2013. A vote will be held for every supporter with a customer number (obtained via the ticket) until the 01/10/2013.

The club based in Liverpool presented a logo for the 2013/14 season in May 2013. Fans protested against the change: the disappearance of the Latin motto of the club ("Nil Satis Nisi Optimum", "Nothing but the best is good enough") and the two laurel wreaths, symbol of victory. They organized an online petition to return to the old logo and collected 24,043 signatures on the 17/09/2013.

The leadership of the club has launched a public consultation to hear the views of supporters and even decided to let them choose the best emblem. "For this new crest, we will consult all the fans. The process allows us to better understand their desires and make them vote for their favorite logo," said Alan Myers, director of communications of the club. "We will decide together, because we all are Everton," he added.
