Southampton FC: main shirt sponsor Virgin Media (telecom) becomes shirt sleeve sponsor until 2019

Virgin Media, a British pay-TV, mobile, and internet operator, will expand its partnership with Southampton FC (Premier League), the club announced on 16/07/2017. Virgin Media, whose current agreement runs until 2018-19, will benefit from the status of major partner, in the first level of the sponsorship hierarchy of the club.

As part of the agreement, Virgin Media will retain its status as the main shirt sponsor of Southampton FC, and will gain additional visibility on the left sleeve of the club's shirt.

The British group became the main shirt sponsor of Southampton FC for three seasons, the 2016-2019 period, on 08/06/2016. The annual estimated amount is £10m (€11.3m on 20/07/2017) according to several British specialised media.

• "The Virgin Media sleeve badges will be available in the Stadium store and Westquay store when purchasing Premier League badges.

• Fans may choose either two Premier League badges or one Premier League badge and a Virgin Media logo for the same price of £6 (badges only), or £18 when purchased with a name and number."
