"I am a happy man today. A contented manager. An overwhelmed president. Yes! Happy, contented, and overwhelmed by all I have seen, heard, and retained. Our great football family has done an unbelievable demonstration of its intellectual, technical, and strategic capabilities. The voices I heard here, coming from all the zones and regions of our continent, have definitely assured me of the power we possess to bring about profound change," said Ahmad Ahmad, CAF president, at the closing of the African Football Symposium held in Rabat (MAR) on 18 and 19/07/2017.

The 55 national federation members of the CAF, represented at the Symposium in Rabat (MAR) by their presidents, secretaries general, and national coaches, worked on eight workshops: AFCON, inter-club competitions, football development, youth football, international partnerships, communication and media, marketing and TV, and football players roles and perspectives.

The CAF Executive Committee validated a number of proposals made at the symposium on 21/07/2017. The most noteworthy of which was the move of the AFCON to June-July…
