Qatar 2022: Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, chairman of ACE in favor of a World Cup in April

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, chairman of the ECA (European Club Association), has suggested that the 2022 World Cup, held in Qatar, took place in April, indicated the German press on the 18/09/2013.

"There is a big difference between playing (in Qatar) in November, January or even April, which is not excluded. In April, temperatures in Qatar are very nice," said the man who is also Chairman of Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) to the German daily sports newspaper Sport Bild.

Joseph Blatter, President of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) has been in favor of the organisation of the Qatar World Cup in November or December, whereas Michel Platini, President of UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) suggested that the competition took place in January-February.

The presidents and general secretaries of the 54 UEFA member associations have been meeting in Dubrovnik (Croatia), since the 17/09/2013, before the executive committee of the European body, on the 19 and 20/09/2013.
