Inter Milan: Alessandro Antonello appointed the new CEO of the club as of 01/09/2017

The Italian Alessandro Antonello has been appointed the CEO of FC Internazionale Milano (Serie A TIM), from 01/09/2017, announced the club on 24/07/2017. Alessandro Antonello has been the chief operating officer of Inter since September 2016. Prior to joining Inter, Antonello worked at Puma Italia, the Italian branch of the German sports equipment brand.

Alessandro Antonello succeeds Jun Liu, vice-president of Suning Sports Group, a subsidiary of the Chinese multi-national Suning, which holds a 68.55% stake in Inter since June 2016. Jun Liu has been acting as the head of the club since the resignation of Michael Bolingbroke on 07/11/2016.

"Inter is an Italian Club with its roots in Milan. That's why we chose Alessandro, who is not only a strong manager with international experience but crucially he has been a Nerazzurri fan since childhood. Alessandro is hugely respected by his colleagues, is a true professional and has the full backing of the company for the challenge ahead," said Steven Zhang, a member of the club's board of directors, on 24/07/2017.
