OL Groupe: 2016-17 turnover up 15% (€249.8m compared to €218.1m in 2015-16)

OL Groupe, the holding company of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Conforama), generated a turnover of €249.8m for the 2016-17 fiscal year (from 01/07/2016 to 30/06/2017), an increase of €31.7m (+15%) year-on-year (€218.1m in 2015-16 season), the group announced on 26/07/2017. These accounts have yet to be audited.

Excluding gains from player trading (€51.7m in 2016-17, compared to €58.1m in 2015-16), the total turnover amounted to a record €198.1m (or +€38.1m and +24% compared to 2015-16).

Operation of Groupama Stadium, which OL Groupe was able to use for the first time over a full financial year, contributed to a figure of €44m from ticketing (+€16.2 million compared to 2015-16, up 58%). And events (conventions, BtoB seminars, corporate events, concerts...) added €9.2m (+61%). There was an increase in media and marketing rights to €98.8m (+€15.7m, or +19%) thanks to the group stage qualification of the Champions League followed by an Europa League run to the semi-finals in 2016-17 (eliminated by AFC Ajax, 5-4 on aggregate).
