Deloitte: a total 2017-18 turnover estimated at €15bn for European Top 5 league clubs

The turnover of the 20 Premier League clubs is expected to reach €5.1bn in 2017-18, and that of the 18 clubs of Bundesliga, €3.2bn. Spain could lose its second place standing to the German top division, with €2.99bn in estimated turnover for the 20 LaLiga Santander clubs. The Spanish league would, however, remain far ahead of the Serie A TIM (€1.98bn) and Ligue 1 Conforama (€1.75bn). This makes for an estimated total turnover of €15bn for the 98 clubs in the first divisions of the European Top 5 countries, according to the 2017 edition of the "Annual Review of Football Finance", produced by the UK office of the audit and consulting firm Deloitte and published on 11/07/2017.

"The reduction in the value of the pound over the last 12 months means that our prediction in early June 2016, of the combined revenues of European football’s 'big five' leagues exceeding €15bn in the 2016-17 season will not come to pass. Nonetheless, the continued growth in broadcast and commercial values means passing this threshold has only been delayed temporarily," said Deloitte in its annual review.
