Germany: 1. FC Köln association passes 95,000 members, 4^th highest in the Bundesliga

The 1. FC Köln (Bundesliga) association has passed the 95,000 mark, said the German club on 25/07/2017. Michelle Marx, 17 years old, was the member number 95,000 of the association 1. Fußball-Club Köln 01/07 eV, and received a symbolic card of the club and a club home shirt with the number 95,000 and the name of the club head coach Peter Stöger.

"It is unbelievable how the number of members has developed over the past four years alone. The members are an important part of the FC. They make the club," said Peter Stöger.

1. FC Köln, with their 95,000 members, will have the fourth highest in the Bundesliga according to the latest survey carried out at the beginning of 2017, behind FC Bayern Munich (approximately 277,000 members), Borussia Dortmund and FC Schalke 04 (more than 140,000 members each), and ahead of Hamburger SV, Borussia Mönchengladbach (approximately 75,000 members each), and VfB Stuttgart (50,000 members).
