DFB: SAP (software) extends deal as a premium partner of the German Federation until 2019-20

The German software company SAP has extended as a premium partner of the DFB for three seasons (2017-2020), on 01/08/2017. This partnership is in the third level of the sponsorship hierarchy of the German Football Federation, which began in 2013-14.

The annual amount of the agreement has not been communicated, however other DFB premium partnerships have been valued between €2m and €3m per year by German media. Under the terms of the agreement, SAP will provide the "die Mannschaft" - the German men's A team - with a system for the collection, analysis, and visualisation of training and match data.

"Digital transformation has been taking place in the football world and we must continue to be at the forefront and collaborate with SAP on new innovations in the football sector," said Oliver Bierhoff, a manager of the German Nationalmannschaft, on 01/07/2017.
