Facebook: 80.26 million fans in total for the 20 Serie A TIM clubs (August 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2017-18 Serie A TIM have a cumulative 80.26 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/08/2017. The Serie A TIM is the third most followed European Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League and LaLiga Santander, with an average of 4.01 million fans per club.

Juventus are the most followed Italian club on Facebook, with 30.14 million fans. After a strong increase in June 2017 (gain of 1.96 million fans, +6.9%), Juve, the 2016-17 Italian champions and finalist in the 2016-17 Champions League, were stagnant in July 2017 (+1,993 fans, + 0.006%). In number of fans, AC Milan achieved the strongest growth in the Serie A TIM with 70,621 additional fans in July 2017.

Two promoted clubs, Benevento Calcio and SPAL recorded the best percentage growth, with +6.7 and +5.6% respectively compared to the beginning of July 2017. AS Roma lost 7,938 fans (-0.1%) in July, as did Fiorentina (-3,846 fans), which saw its number of Facebook fans decrease for the fourth consecutive month.
