Discovery Communications: partnership with "Olympic channel", the IOC initiative, until 2024

Discovery Communications and the "Olympic channel" have forged a content partnership "for 50 European markets," the American audiovisual group and the IOC said on 28/07/2017. This agreement extends to 2024, the same period as the agreement between the IOC and the American group, which holds the exclusive rights to broadcast the Olympic Games in Europe during the period 2018-2024. below).

"Launching on 02/08/2017, fans will see: Olympic Channel-branded programming hours and content launching on Eurosport and Eurosport Player; a Eurosport presence on the Olympic Channel; an Olympic Channel digital portal on Eurosport.com; and digital amplification of content through a dedicated presence on Eurosport’s local Facebook pages and Twitter handles. The Olympic Channel will promote Eurosport’s platforms, with its coverage of live sporting events and the Olympic Games," explained the two entities.
