Germany: Perform Group and RTL acquire Europa League TV rights for 2018-2021 (press)

The British Perform Group, which specialises in the production and distribution of sports content on digital platforms, and the German audiovisual group Mediengruppe RTL, have acquired, valid in Germany, the rights to broadcast the Europa League for the 2018-2021 cycle, the German media reported on 31/07/2017.

Perform acquires the rights for the pay broadcasting, and will broadcast the games on its sports OTT platform DAZN. The German subsidiary of RTL Group acquired the rights for one free-to-air broadcast, and could broadcast the games on its German DTT channel Nitro. The audiovisual groups Sky Deutschland and Sport1 are the TV rights holders of the Europa League for Germany on the 2015-218 cycle.

Sky Deutschland and Perform Group have acquired, valid in Germany and Austria, the broadcasting rights to all the broadcasting platforms of the Champions League for the 2018-2021 cycle, on 13/06/2017.
