Neymar: "His arrival emphasizes the club’s aims to rise to the top of world football" (PSG)

"Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Conforama) is very happy to announce the arrival of Neymar Jr to the team. On Thursday (03/08/2017) the Brazilian striker signed a five-year contract in the presence of the club's representatives. Neymar Jr is now committed to the French capital's club until June 30 2022," announced the Paris Saint-Germain on 03/08/2017.

The Brazialian Neymar on the same day cancelled his contract with FC Barcelona (with whom he was bound until 2021) with the settlement of a clause in the contract with the transfer of €222m.

"Arriving from FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander), the former Santos player is widely considered to be an icon in world football - one of the top three players on the planet who has played at the very highest level for the past five years. His arrival into the Paris Saint-Germain family emphasizes more than ever the club’s aims to rise to the top of world football," added the club in a statement.
