Social networks: Neymar, the world's second most-followed footballer behind Cristiano Ronaldo

The Brazilian international Neymar Jr, the new player of Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Conforama), is followed by nearly 170.1 million subscribers on the social networks Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, as of 04/08/2017. These figures make him the second most-followed footballer in the world behind the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid CF, LaLiga Santander) who counts 285.9 million total subscribers on this same date.

Neymar is ahead of his former teammate at FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander), the Argentinian Lionel Messi, who is followed by 166.3 million subscribers on Facebook and Instagram only.

On Instagram, Neymar has 79.1 million subscribers on his official account. This number is 9.3 times higher than that of Paris Saint-Germain, which has 8.5 million subscribers on this social network.
