Twitter: Top 100 European clubs with the most followers (August 2017)

With 41.96 million followers, FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) are the most followed European club on Twitter, according to data collected by News Tank Football which publishes a Top 100 of the most popular European clubs on this social network as of 03/08/2017.

To establish this Top 100, News Tank Football lists the followers of the main Twitter account, but also those of additional accounts in foreign languages. FC Barcelona, for example, have fewer subscribers on its Spanish account than Real Madrid CF, second in the overall ranking, but the Catalan club is ahead due to to a higher number of followers on its other accounts.

FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF (second with 40.23 million followers) are at the top of the European Top 100 ranking, and are the only two Top 100 clubs to each have more than 40 million subscribers.
