The Best FIFA Football Awards 2017: ceremony in London (United Kingdom) on Monday 23/10/2017

"The Best FIFA Football Awards came forth as a celebration of elite footballers and coaches, but also of those who love the game. Now, football fans will again play a decisive and active role in deciding the player and coach of the year in both men’s and women’s football," is how FIFA defines "The Best FIFA Football Awards", of which the second edition is scheduled in London (UK) on Monday, 23/10/2017.

Nine trophies will be awarded (see below), one of which, for the first time, will reward the "FIFA Goalkeeper Award 2017".

The winners of the four main trophies (best men's and women's player; best men's and women's coaches of the year) are chosen by the captains (25% of the final decision) and coaches (25%) of the national teams of the world, as well as by fans (25%) and a selection of more than 200 media representatives from the six confederations (25%).
