Neymar: a record transfer also on social networks (308,000 Twitter interactions in 3 days)

"The Facebook and Twitter posts of Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Conforama) which announced the arrival of the Brazilian Neymar from FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) were the most popular in the history of football transfers on social networks. The announcement generated a total of close to 400,000 Facebook interactions and 308,000 on Twitter, from 03 to 05/08/2017," said Socialbakers, a Czech company which analyses social media and proposes studies on digital interactions related to football transfers, on 08/08/2017.

"The posts on the Facebook page of PSG announcing the transfer of Neymar generated eight times more interactions than the other elements of the page. On Twitter, the results are even more impressive since there were 30 times more interactions," added Socialbakers, who defines itself as "one of the leaders in the social network analysis industry."
